Help How do I stop Chrome from using apps?

Chrome opens the YouTube app automatically half the time, and with IMDB on Google searches, the option to open on the website is at the bottom of the result. I don't like this, I only use the YouTube app to upload videos. How do I remedy this?

App manager, go to YouTube or chrome apps and clear defaults

Didn't work. When I log into YouTube on Chrome I still have to disable the app or it takes me straight to it.

Help How do I stop Chrome from using apps?
