Help How do i sync my xperia play with my mac?

How do i connect my phone with my mac? I plugged it in to the micro USB port and nothing popped up on screen

Whilst there does not appear to be a version of the isync plugin for this handset, there is the Mediasync software that is available at the bellow link:

iSync requires a phone running the Symbian OS. The Xperia uses Android OS. So you might want to have a look at FoneSync, a kind of iTunes like software to sync contacts, calendars, music and photos with your Mac and Android device... You need to run Android OS 2.2 or higher on the Xperia.

This media sync program you have suggested doesn't seem to sync contacts and calendars and fonesync costs, are there ANY other options?
