DunKONGx8

Newbie
Hi everyone,

I have a Rooted X8 2.2 and I am intrested in other versions of Android on X8 aswell.

Has Anyone ever Tethered a X8??? Wireless or USB. And I do NOT mean a app like pdaNET or Easy Tether.

Has Anyone ever ACTUALLY Tethered an X8 of ANY Android version???

Please Help
Thank's

The one that I heard bandied about for rooted X10's was Barnacle but don't know if its available for the X8's. I saw you had posted on another thread so don't know if you have got sorted yet.

I use PDANet on my X10 but havent tried it on my X8 yet.

Nobody seems to understand that i actually want to use my phone as a usb modem, im using easy tether (same as PDAnet) to connect for web viewing, but for other types of connections are beond this, they dont allow all ports and i cant use some admin stuff over the link.

Now i have Floyo i have the option to tether, but there is a error in the kernal.
I'll check out this barnacle app and let ya know how it go's. Learnt not to get my hopes up up since switching to sony ericsson lol

Barnacle seems to work, but 3/4g is sucky on my phone so cant test pc too well, it connects, but to slow to do anything.
Ill try again when my phone is getting quick data, looks hopefull
Barnacle seems to be for all android's, the new one is labled evo (as in evo HTC) but it just has extra options for the HTC's.
In my path i saw forums stateing people have achived usb tethering by using a modifyed rom, which i am, but i still get a kernal error. I like floyo, but think i might have to try gingerbread. Sony said the newer xperias will be able to tether with gingerbread, so i hope the smart people that hack it solve my problem
