Help How do I uninstall Lollipop?

Lurker
I held off on updating because some of my friends reported issues with the new update. I reluctantly upgraded it because I liked some of the features and wanted to try them out - HUGE MISTAKE! I have a Note 3 and my phone seems like its barely operating. My WiFi connection is horrible. The battery life PLUMMETS. I used to be able to keep a charge all day, and now I have to keep it plugged in constantly because the battery dies so fast. As I'm typing this I took it off the charger maybe 30-45 minutes ago and its already in low 70% range. The phone lags up so bad! Seemingly more so with some apps than others. Like video players in YouTube, Facebook, the browser, etc. lag. Facebook itself and the messenger have huge lag issues too. Snapchat barely works. I've had some issues with PDFs and Powerpoints as well loading. This is bad because I'm on spring break and I have to keep up with my schoolwork and my internship assignments. I waited too long to get a note 4, and have decided to just patiently wait for the Note 5. But this update makes me want to throw my Note 3 in the garbage. I don't know why I'm having so many issues with my phone, but its really frustrating.

Yeah, sometimes updates are crappy :(
Perhaps before a factory reset, try to clear the cache from recovery:

Fully power down the device.
Press and hold Volume up + Home + Power buttons.
When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the buttons.
In the recovery menu, navigate to ‘’wipe cache partition’’ with the volume buttons.
Press power button to confirm.
Once this is done, select reboot system .

Okay. I'm going to try this. Factory reset won't be feasible until I can get home and back everything up.

Clearing the cache won't wipe anything important. Try that 1st

Yeah, I did the cache wipe. I don't even understand how the battery drains so fast. I've had to turn everything off and manually turn on power save mode.

if nothing works, are you rooted? Because I can help you downgrade.

I'm not rooted. Would a factory reset downgrade to the original OS? Or at least resolve the issues? If not should I root to downgrade? I think my biggest issues I'm having are wifi connectivity and battery draining. I was reading that the battery issues caused a delay in releasing the software, but the issues weren't completely resolved.

Factory reset only resets system data, like accounts, installed apps, not the version. Could you possibly root?
