How do I update my samsung 551

I phoned my contract provider because my phone keeps recieving the same message over and over again they said it was a known fault in the software and I needed to do an update, that I had to download kies and then I'd be able to do it.
I can't find anywhere to do an update tho please somebody tell me how.

samsung kies CD is in the box, you can install it, and update it to the last version, then connect your phone, and update firmware.
