How do I use a Korean Galaxy S2 in the US?

I just came back from teaching English in South Korea for 15 months. I brought back my Galaxy S2 after closing the old account and cancelling the number. I'm back in Upstate New York, what do I have to do to get my phone working with someone like T-Mobile? Thanks, guys.

You need a T-Mobile SIM. however note that you may not get 3G connection because the US uses different 3G bandwidths than the rest of the world. Its a hardware thing so no software can fix it for you.

That's fine. I can do without 3G for a bit as long as it means I could just use my phone while I'm back in the States. So, if I go into a T-Mobile office and tell them the situation, they should just be able to help me with no issues?
