Root How do I wipe my internal storage completely?

I'm trying to free up as much space on the internal storage as possible.

How can I wipe the internal storage completely before I reinstall a fresh image?

I used safestrap 3.05 and did all the wipes, but still there is loads of files and folders there.

Well, some folders are there by default. A wipe should clear everything on the internal memory, you're not looking at your external sd card are you? That doesn't get touched

Go to settings->Storage and scroll down to where it says "Erase internal storage".

Personally,i use the option on Safestrap Recovery v3.05 in Wipe=>Internal Storage and i'm sure that complete wipe!
At least for my device !
