Help How do I...

Watch movies I rented from the Google play store if I am not in an area with network or wifi access? I can't get my movies to show up in Media Hub or Play movies or TV app. Is there some other way for me to access my rentals or can you only do this in a network enviornment? I want to watch my movies in my basement office that has pretty much no internet connection. I could do it with my iPhone's rentals with no problem, what am I doing wrong?

When you rent movies you can only stream them through network.

They have already been downloaded to my phone, on my iPhone I would just go into the iTunes section where my video rentals were and just start watching. On my Galaxy S3 I can't do that because it seems to want to connect to the net before even showing me my already downloaded movies in either of those programs.

Also why is it when I get a text message with a picture attachment sometimes the .jpg is read as a movie file (i get a play button and slider below it) and also it is not zoom-able. Thanks for any reply's.

That's how MMS works with the S3 - it acts like a movie for some reason. Why? Dunno, it it just does.....

Seriously?

That is ridiculous, so anytime anyone sends me a .jpg in an MMS I can't pinch to zoom in? And why would it see a picture file as a movie file? Big time fail if there is no other explanation.

Thanks for the tip, and yes its not a big time fail but even so it is something that should have been fixed long ago if this has always been an S3 issue..

Also by chance do you have any tips on how to watch my rented (already downloaded) movies without there being a connection to the internet available?

It's probably checking to make sure you actually purchased that content.

I don't have your phone though so i have nothing specific

Yes that is what I surmised as well, just checking in with the store and probably checking to see how many days I have left maybe as well. Sucks for my basement office situation but I pretty much have internet access everywhere else so..

Photos are only slide show if they send text with it. If someone just sends you a photo it comes as a typical photo that you zoom in on.

Test it. Send yourself just a photo. Then send yourself a photo and type text into the box with the photo and you will get it as a slide show video.

You are right, thanks for that tip. So all I do is just save the attachment and then I can zoom the pic if need be..still seems an odd choice by the phone developers but no big deal.
