Goto: Settings > Manage apps
All downlaoded and pre-installed apps will be visible in the 'All' tab, sorted alphabetically.
Press the app name in question. There will be buttons for Clear cache and Clear data. If they are not grayed out, press each separately to perform that function. Note that clearing data will also clear any preferences, configuration, and in the case of games
