Help how do you access the web? Seriously...

T Tanner

Lurker
I keep getting errors whenever I try to browse the web or even read the user manual. After much guesswork, I accidentally discovered that I can access web pages if I prefix them with https://. But if I don't - I get "This page is not available" and details page says "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

I can't find any setting to control this.

Yeh, sounds like a network or firewall or proxy problem possibly. Is it only happening on one particular network or any network? Are you using WiFi or cellular data? Is it open public WiFi, in a restaurant or hotel or something?

Update: This appears to be a setting in my home network. When I'm at work I have no probems, or when I'm connecting via 4G rather than wifi. Still a bit confused about how my router is blocking non https traffic for mobiles though, or the other PCs on the network would be getting upset.
