so im able to bluetooth ringtones to my uncles HD2 but for some reason i cannot blue tooth ringtones to my moms palm pixi. does anyone know how i can do so please? it is very annoying and i messed wioth all my settings and her settings and still cant figure it out!!!

I do not own a Palm Pixi, but my wife does own a Palm Pre. I think the problem may be that the Palm Pixi cannot perform Bluetooth file transfers.

I think the Palm Pre/Pixi can only use Bluetooth to connect to a headset or headphones or a Bluetooth enabled car audio system. I am not completely sure this is accurate, but I think it is.

You might try downloaded an app such as "Bluetooth file transfer" from the market.

thats really dumb, i tried the bluetooth file transfer with no success but you think that since it is a smart phone it should be able to send and recive files atleast

Yes, you would think so. Are you sure the palm has these capabilities? Never used one..

im not sure if it does or not. i looked it up but couldnt find any info about this issue. the pixi will detect my hero but it just would not recieve any files. i tried different files like pics, songs, ringtones, etc. thinking it was the file itself but nothing worked. it would only connect to an audio device :(

Uh, not to sound like a smart aleck or anything, but I already stated that I think the Palm Pixi cannot handle Bluetooth file transfers. I am pretty sure Palm will add this functionality eventually in a later release of webOS.

Yes, the Palm Pixi will detect other Bluetooth devices and probably even connect with them. However, it lacks the ability to make use of the Bluetooth OBEX (Object Exchange) protocol, so file transfers are impossible at this time.

Not sure about the palm apps that are available, but hoccer works for me and a buddy with android, plus one of my friends with a iphone (jailbroken). just my 2 cents. hope it helps!
