ROOTED GS4 i9545

I downloaded the new Verizon update but never installed it. Since my GS4 is rooted, it can't be installed, so I want to delete it.. It keeps giving me a notification every couple minutes that it is ready to install. I DO NOT want to install it even if it is possible. I just need to figure out how to delete it. My first thought was to delete the SDM system app but I'm not sure what all it is used for and if it would mess up my phone.

Hi and welcome to AF! :)

First of all if you are rooted you should have TWRP recovery. if you don't, I would do this before moving forward. Why? because you can make a backup of you phone in its perfectly functional state right now and then try deleting things out of the system risk free because you have a backup made. Once you have a backup made, I would try deleting your update app. The package you downloaded is most likely called update.zip and it is most likely in you cache folder. update notifications are usually a result of Your build number in you build.prop and sometimes you can editing the build. prop to the newest build number to fool the updating app into thinking you are up to date. so try a few things but Get the custom recovery and make a backup before you try anything!!

Here is you phones section on this site and it may hold more information to help you:

Good luck! and I hope I was able to help you today! :)
