Help How do you delete/purge contacts in native database?

lukev

I want to start fresh with the native Android contacts database in my Bionic. How can I wipe/purge this database so when I start a sync with my work exchange server I'll get a new lists of contacts?

I've already tried going into Manage All Apps to the various "Contact" items and tried the "Clear data" buttons, but that doesn't seem to do it. My contacts are all still there. I know I'm missing something.

Thanks,

Luke

I don't know if there is a way to select them all at once but you should be able to delete each one from the People app (or it might be called Contacts).

I don't know what you are doing to backup your contacts. I am using Google Contacts ... at ... https://www.google.com/contacts/#contacts

To delete contacts all I have to do is login using my PC, delete the contacts I don't want from the list, and exit.

The next time I sync contacts to my Bionic (less than a minute) the contacts I deleted from the backup are deleted from the Bionic.
