How do you disable VoLTE?

Hi Guys,

Last week I did a software update on my S7 edge and since then VoLTE has appeared in my status bar which is draining my battery.
How do I disable Voice Over LTE. I've tried ...

Opening the PHONE icon
Opening MORE
Opening SETTINGS
But there is no reference to VoLTE.

I've searched the phones settings but no luck!

Can anyone please help me?

Try going to call settings and see if there is an option to disable it. Also change ur network mode to 3g/2g only.

Can't find any settings on the phone which will allow me to disable VoLTE but by changing to 2g/3g, as you suggested, the icon disappears from the status bar indicating it's switched off.
The only problem is, with the capability of using 4g on my phone, I can't use it without enabling VoLTE .....

I think its a regional oversight in the phone app. I'm in the UK and get the volte icon in the status bar (after September's OTA update) but there are no volte options in the phone app itself.
I have however seen such options in the phone app after googling. Perhaps we have no choice in the matter in the UK.

Thankfully (on EE at least) volte calls do not take a hit on your data plan but fall into your inclusive calls allowance.

I find that when using 4g with the activated VoLTE it creates a big drain on my battery.

I called into my local Samsung shop today and the technician informed me that Samsung are working on a fix to the upgrade which will allow us to disable VoLTE if so desired.

I have a SIM Free S7 edge and use the O2 network. I do not see VoLTE anywhere. I did not even know what it is before you mentioned it...

If you have 4g enabled on your phone you will be able to see the VoLTE icon in the status bar, it's next to 4g icon.
