Help How do you force 1x data when 4g is unavailable?

When 4g is not working it's doesn't automatically switch to 1x so I can't use data.

dunno it if will work on Esteem, but try LTE On/Off -HTC Thunderbolt from the market.

I believe that if you change the radio to use CDMA(autoprl) only it will turn off 4G.

If you set it to CMDA + LTE/EvDo auto it will turn on 4G.

It may or may not work, as I am using a Optimus M and it allows me to turn off 3G and only use the 1x.

You can use a data toggle to turn data completely off but i cant find a way to turn to 1x if 4g is available.

that does not sound like a smart idea. I recommend against that.

You can always try taking the sim card out

taking the card out will result in losing service

Yes there is a known issues and LG is working on and FOTA update.

4G when not connected is not switching over to 1x. and not receving any data.

Lg is aware of this, hang tight, and update will be coming shortly.

try using LTE OnOff, it says its for HTC Thunderbolt but it changed my 4g to 1x

Have there been 4g issues as well? 4g wasn't working for me for the past two days and when I took it back to the store, they said it was because I reached my limit of 2gb of data usage which I highly doubt. They switched my plan over to $60 a month. -_-

No experience with any particular data counter but a search on the Android Market produces alot of counters, maybe one will work for the Esteem.....
