How do you get Allshare to work?

When I run Allshare it sees my computer and lists its name but it never connects, I just get they spinning blue "connecting" icon. Do I need to instal l software on my computer as well, like I did with team viewer for example ?

This is how I do...

I open the Allshare app;
Start Windows media player
Then it shows "GT-i9000b" under "Other libraries";
I choose what I want and it just works.

But both must be connected to the same router.

Thanks. After I posted I found another post that explained, just as I assumed, that you have to install the PC version on your computer. My next question was gonna be can I access the files on my computer from another location but you answered that for me. Cheers.

Interesting. I just tried it. Was able to play songs on my PC "from" my Galaxy Player (showed up in WMP). But my PC songs did not show up on my Player (probably because they are not shared). Kind of useless for me since all my songs are synced with GM.
