How do you get rid of the google bar at the top of the screens? :smokingsomb:

try changing to a different home app...can't get rid of the search bar on the stock launcher....

Download a launcher such as GO Launcher EX, ADWLauncher, Nova Launcher or Holo Launcher. These replace your homescreen with a faster, more customizable and (most likely) a better looking version of what you already have. With one of these as your default you can decide exactly what goes on your homescreen, such as the Google Search Widget and more.

Nova launcher is a solid choice, it is what I am rocking right now.

Thanks guys I never thought of that. Probably cause the stock works fine just lacking features.
I found the Home app couple yrs ago, very handy for multiple launchers.

Settings>Applications>All Applications(scroll right, this is hidden), scroll down to Google Search and disable the app.

I think it's separate, but even when you turn it off there is still a spot for it, like the launcher was designed with it in mind.
