Root How do you get the latest ROM for your phone?

I rooted my phone and I love the capabilities I have now... But I would like to know how do you get the new ROMs or OS for your phone... When updates come in for things I have downloaded those updates are there... But I keep reading the android blogs and it states new ROMS are out but they never come to my phone...

Is there something I am doing wrong or do they not come automatically? Thanks in advance!!!!

you would need to flash a ROM (if u havent already) the xda forum is usually where i see alot of different roms posted. to get the updates i think you would have to add it (flash it). some devs may have a way where u can get them pushed to u though. i just flashed my first one the beg of this month so im not too sure on the exact info on that part.

to get the latest ROMs, Kernels and just bout any custom mod for our phones from the initial Splash Screen (T-Mobile Mytouch 4G screen) to the shutdown animation... including Gingerbread a.k.a. Android 2.3.3 check HERE

How did you root your mytouch? Do you have Hboot .87? I have that version and i could not find a tutorial that works with my version.
