Help How do you guys back your phone up?

Hi there,I want to factory reset my phone after the recent update but dont want to loose everything.How does everyone else back stuff up? Whith the iphone I could back up to icloud then do a factory reset and then when I restored from icloud my phone went back exactly the same.Is there a similar way to do this on the S3? Would it be Kies? Im not sure what Kies is and have never used it.Thank you

There are a couple of solutions. If you are rooted, Titanium backup or My Backup root. My Backup also has a free version that will still do like 5 backups.

I tried Carbon but it won't connect and messed up my USB drivers so my phone won't connect anymore either.

edit - stripped the Samsung USB drivers off and reinstalled. set my phone to PTP and all worked out.
