how do you instal an app from your pc?

hi

i downloaded music junk from an internet site as im after a decent mp3 download app. im using a rooted desire, and wondered how you go about installing it. i can plop it on my sd card by drag and drop from pc. would it just then be installed? or do i need to instal it from 'recovery' or something?

you have to download an app called 'Astro File Manager' from market then find where u installed the app, then click on the app (it should be in .apk fromat) and click open with app manager. then u can install.
