Help How do you paste, insert files into messaging?

Has anybody tried composing an sms message and tried to include a phone number to it? I tried looking for the most appropriate command line like "insert contact info" or even copying and pasting number from the contact form but it's no use unless I'm not doing it right.

Help please.
