How do you reset the battery up time?

No matter how long my phone is powered off or if I remove the battery, when I turn the phone back on the up time is not reset. The only way I've found to reset it is to put a different battery in the phone. This isn't causing any issues but it's just something that annoys me

To clarify, I'm talking about

Settings > About phone > Battery > Battery use

For example, mine says 2d, 23h 22m 42s on battery. I've had my phone off and even pulled the battery and it still keeps count of the time.

Yes, it was enabled. What are the advantages/disadvantages of fast boot?

Fastboot never allows the phone to go completely to sleep (off). So it's still considered "up time". Fastboot is nice b/c when you reboot it just reboots the shell, clears the cache and starts you on a clean slate if you are having issues. But Fastboot creates a lot of problems (at least for me) so I have turned it off. There's no way to turn the phone off and then boot into recovery without taking the back off, pulling the battery and then going into recovery that way. Huge PITA. Do this:

Enable / Disable Fast Boot - HTC Rezound

Have you fully charged your battery during the course of this time? If you only partially charge the battery, then the usage statistics do not reset to zero.

That is why you can see ups and downs on the chart in the battery usage statistics screen if you do partial recharges. It is also why they have "time on battery" and "total time" as separate points of data values around the chart.
