Help How do you stop rapid phone connecting/disconnecting from PC?

So, I've never really tried to connect my Samsung S3 Mini (lol outdated phone) to my laptop, and I've recently tried to get a photo I took onto my PC. I connected my phone to my laptop and it started rapidly connecting and disconnecting from my PC and I couldn't transfer any files what so ever... Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I guess you've tried the obvious things like a different USB port or different cable?

Yep, I've tried different cables, different ports and turning off firewall.

Didn't think it would be that easy.

A work-around rather than a fix would be to copy the photos to your SD card (if they are not there already) and stick it in a USB card reader. There are also apps (e.g. WiFi File Explorer) that can be used to copy over a WiFi network. I realise that's a bit lame, but it would work.
