How do you text? Vertical or horizontal keyboard

Just curious, as all of my previous phones had physical keyboards, what do you find easiest/fastest way to text?

I have just adjusted to the keyboard being vertical, just using one or two fingers. I used to be real fast with my two thumbs with the physical keyboard, but now I have the TB so I am taking the time to get used to it. I seem to be slower when its horizontal, but I guess like anything it takes time to get used to.

Also, it's pretty scary how accurate the auto correct is...but it makes life a lot easier. It's to the point where I don't necessarily aim for the right key, but the general area usually suffices.

What seems quickest for you?

Vertical. It took some getting used to, but it's easier to reach all the buttons this way for me.

I usually end up vertical, just for speed-sake (that, and using the SlideIt keyboard for swype-style entry). That's mainly texting though, haven't sat and wrote a book, in which case, I would probably go horizontal to see if it would be easier to go dual-thumbing.

I use voice whnever I can.

Other times it depends on the message length. I find I make more errors on the horizonal - I tend to put periods all over the place cause the space bar is so small and located right next to the period.

Yea, so I guess the way I have been doing is seems to be the overall fastest...I guess I will mainly stick to it and play around with the horizontal keyboard.

Is the 2.3 keyboard that's in the Marketplace easier to use, you think? Or just looks different? Also, I wish the question mark was on the main page of the keyboard, but that's minor.
