how do you use the motion as a webcam?

I believe that is for transferring pictures lol I don't think it means literal camera.

Try an app called IP Webcam by "Pas"

I use it all the time on a spare phone to check in on my home.

Works really well.

You can use this phone as a USB webcam. You need this app called WO Webcam.

You will then need to get some software for your computer found here. I also think you have to turn on USB debugging in the developer options in your phone.

The free version of this app will only let you use low res quality, but it gets the job done. Hopefully someone else knows of a better app, but this one is pretty good.
