How does skype work on Samsung Galaxy

I want to add skype to my Samsung Galaxy Ring (Virgin) and am curious as to how it works. I have used skype on laptops but not on smartphones. Any advice greatly appreciated.

It works very well actually, I've used it on a Samsung S4 and Samsung Win Duos no problems, and other phones as well. Just install it, enter your Skype details and you're in business, that's it really.

Oh yeh, I've used Skype rather internationally in the last few years on phones, Mainland China, Hong Kong, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, Mongolia and USA.

If you are travelling internationally, Skype does require internet of course, maybe using WiFi or local SIMs. You can make calls to other Skype users(free) or use Skype out for VOIP, same on a phone just as you would on a laptop. :thumbsupdroid:

I think that most, if not ALL apps working well or not, have a lot to do with the phone that you are using too, especially the amount of RAM that it has and camera quality. I'd say with the phone that you have you are good with any app, but I'll just add that WeChat is an app that can make just about any phone look good for video calls, lol.

Thanks, I did skype in France with laptop but android is all new to me. I suppose it's much the same thing, just smaller. I read a post that I can use both laptop and android?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but yes, with your same Skype account you can use what ever devise you want, laptop or phone whenever you want. I don't think you can use them at the same time, but I've never tried that either. I know you can log off the laptop and then log right on with the Android phone without a hitch though!
