How easy to switch handsets?

Hi there. Quick question: How do you switch handsets with Sprint? I have an Evo and I may pick up a second handset like the Evo Shift, and I would like to be able to easily switch back and forth between the two handsets. When I was with Verizon, all I did was dial *228 from the handset that I wanted to use and follow a few simple commands to activate that phone.

Is there something like this for Sprint?

I belive you can do this through Sprint.com, or calling Sprint. I've done it online once in the past, and I belive there are others here that have mentioned it can be done online as well.

yes.. you can do it online at sprint.com...fast and easy.

i have never tried it on a phone internet ...
i wonder if you can change it... from EVO to Shift.. on the EVO internet?

Sometimes switching smart phones requires a call to Sprint to get the change completed. I switched my daughter's dumb phone today and it literally took 2 minutes online, no phone call required.

Whenever I went back and forth from my Evo to my BlackBerry I had to call in. Still, even the call was quick and painless. We're talking 5-10 minutes, tops.
