How exactly do i update?

how do i go about getting the updates for this phone? I've never actually had to update a phone.

oh man, i thought you had to like plug it in to computer and it takes forever... guess not, so when 2.0 or 2.1 update is ready it will just pop up on the phone?

i was on another thread and they were saying that the 2.x update would probably be either at the verizon store or on the net. because of the dangers of unsavvy people bricking their phones. <haha that would be me
