How Fast In What Areas?

Piederman

Newbie
Got a question: I keep hearing (and reading) about how blazing fast the Thunderbolt is, and how so many people are wowed by it. Fair enough. But here's my question: Is this only in the 4G areas? And, if so, where are these 4G areas?

The reason I ask is because I currently have an HTC Inspire, and am considering switching to Verizon from AT&T in order to get the Thunderbolt, but only because of how fast I've heard it is. As I do not live in a big city, will I notice any difference where I live (and spend 90% of my life)?

This is an important factor in my decision. Thanks!

Yes this phone typically gets praise in 4G areas where u can really notice the speeds. I currently live in a 4g area and whenever i turn it on 3G there is a huge difference in internet speeds. Verizon has a place on their website where u can check the 4g areas Coverage Locator - Verizon Wireless

Yeah this thing is blazing fast on 4g lte. I consistently get 15 to 23 mb down and over 20 up. In fact 15 is the lowest down speed ive gotten. i use the hotspot feature all the time now cause my schools internet sucks. Im definitely going to pay the extra 20 or so a month once may 15th comes around.
