How good the the playbook run android apps?

Anyone know how well the playbook handles apps? If it can do all apps?
I'm talking about no *blackberry rooting? :P* or tampering with the device. Just pure BP 2.0.

A 64 gig for $299...if it can run android apps then why not!

It only runs apps from the blackberry market because blackberry os is completely different from android, so you wont be able to run android apps on there. Now if there are developers who make android apps they may also make apps for blackberry but it depends. I came from a blackberry phone to android and i will tell you this, blackberry is more for business/email/web browsing which is exactly what i used mine for so i loved it. Android has way more of the "popular" causal apps like games and stuff. However a playbook for $300 isnt bad but just keep the idea in mind that blackberry os is nothing like android.

RIM at one point was talking about the possibility of Android apps running on the Playbook but I think they stopped this idea.

I don't think RIM ever finished this. Searching through the Crackberry forums it looks like root is the only way.

For the same price you could get the touchpad and run android? Seems the specs are much better for the price and you could actually run android rather than just the apps. Just my 2 cent.
