How have smartphones changed your life?

I am a born again cell user. i got my first phone in 98 when sprint pcs was in its infancy, and working at radio shack at the time got me a great plan for cheap. i remember when they rolled out the ability to get my email and even use aol instant messanger (this was waaaay before text). until 2002 when i moved to upstate ny where at the time cell service was almost non existant, so i dumped it. fast forward to late 2008 when the coverage was steadily improving here and my wife and i got his and hers razors. that worked good for me for about 2 months, when i realized they were too boring. then moved up to a multimedia phone (lg vu). didnt like it, thats when i made the leap to smartphones. first one was a bb pearl. never again did i go to the bathroom and be bored! i now use it for almost every aspect of my life.

could i live without it? sure, probably. but DO I WANT TO live without it? hell no.

I'm actually worried about myself :) I got my first Android phone back in July and I've been using it for hours everyday since. At first I thought the "new toy" factor would wear off but it hasn't. I'm probably an addict now. I rarely touch my computer at home (don't see the point). Someone needs to come up with a 12 steps program for Android Addicts or something like that. At this rate, the battery on this phone won't last me 6 months. I can even read books (Kindle) on it. I think I'm going to go blind too because I keep it at six inches from my eyes.
