How is moto x camera after update?

Trying to decide to keep moto x or stick with s4. As it is now the moto camera is pretty bad and I'm hoping the ota update drastically improves it. Anyone got my it yet?

It definitely has issues. Noticed right away coming from an S3. It can take good photos, but its like flipping a coin. The camera is a big downer. But I am not HUGE into smart phone photography...

I have read and seen lots of sites report about the update. Says it makes it much improved. There is a thread on this site where we talked about it some more.

If you are on Verizon Wireless the Moto X has not received the same camera update that T-Mobile and AT&T have gotten recently.

The camera post update is much better, not perfect, but better. As far as a one update change goes, it's night and day. I assume (and am hopeful) that future updates will also refine some elements.

Still waiting on VZW. Painful as usual.

I've always made it a point to call Verizon out on Twitter and other social media platforms. I wish more people would do so as well. Their sugar coated comments are absurd in response. iPhones receive updates right away, why can't a nearly stock device or at least in a month or two at the most.

Honestly, I can see where people are upset with Verizon in their "late" updates. But that was back when we waited months and months (maybe more months?) for crucial updates. If I am not mistaken, this camera update is confirmed to be not very far off. So...we wait a week or two longer? I don't really see that as GIANT screw up from Verizon. And it would seem logical for them to take more time. They are a much larger company then Say Sprint or T-Mobile.

I get really good service from them, and since I have been using smartphones, I really can't complain about much major software blunders. If a couple weeks is all it takes for me to get this pretty good performance. I am willing to wait.

I think we need chill out a little.

After receiving the update on ATT, I would no longer classify the camera as a deal breaker by any means. If it is, then you should be looking for a camera and not a phone. Pics are very acceptable now, especially low light. However, with that said, after looking at a few comparison threads of moto x, S4 and Iphone, there is no doubt the IPhone is the best, hands down. Hard to even see a difference now with the moto x and S4 IMO (camera wise of course)

BTW my comparision photos are a bit hazy because i have very shaky hands and was super tired posting that stuff, just FYI.

I thought the camera was OK before the update, but now I think it's damn good.

The G2 might be better, but I don't think I would want a G2. A nexus, sure, G2, nah.
