How is Sprint in California?

Thinking about switching to Sprint to get the Hero. I live in the Bay Area, California. I have heard that it is not so great, but T-Mobile is not so great for me either, as I get dropped calls all of the time.

I would just like an opinion from anyone who has Sprint to chime in if they can. Thanks, all.

I am way down here in So-Cal but I travel up north to the Sacramento area every 2-3 months or so, It seems to work fine. In the Central California area like around Gilroy/los Banos area it seams to get spotty coverage but S.F. / San Jose / And oakland it works good.

I live in the north bay area and spend a lot of time in the east bay/south bay, along with the central valley (Stockton to Fresno) and have had excellent coverage with Sprint. I've also done some traveling to the Santa Barbara area with no coverage issues.

I live in San Francisco and since switching to Sprint from T-Mobile, my call quality has gone up. I have good signal strength and no calls get dropped from where I've called from. I even get a signal when I go into muni (at least when I'm in the ticketing level).

I switched from AT&T and I can't believe the difference. I used to drop a call on AT&T almost every 5 minutes. Knock wood, I now have used about 2000 minutes on Sprint and haven't dropped a single call. EvDo is much more available (and much faster, with less latency) than AT&T 3G.
