How is the original Note 10.1?

Nothing special, compared to new devices the performance is relatively poor and it has a low resolution display for a tablet.

Not something I would be rushing out to buy unless it was heavily discounted, the stylus might make it worthwhile for you though.

But as with everything it depends on your needs and price.

Well, I'm looking to drop around 200 bucks, and I want the tablet to have microsd, so my options are the Note 8.0, Note 10.1, and LG P Pad 8.3 apparently are my top options. If the Nexus line included expandable memory I might have pulled the trigger one one, but I have a Note 2 so if I get a tablet I want more than 7 inches.

LG G Pad has the better specifications, 1920*1200 IPS display and Snapdragon 600 which still provides reasonable performance.

Similar specs to the Nexus 7 2013 but obviously with bigger display, different design and a MicroSD card slot.

If you don't always need the expandable storage with you, you can certainly add more with an OTG cable to virtually any tablet (those that support it).
