Help How is your microphone your LG G3

Android Enthusiast
Hello,

I really love my LG G3, but there is one thing which bothers me. When calling with someone they hear me just fine, but if I put it on speaker (in my car for example), they say they can barely hear what I'm saying.

If I hold the phone about an armlength away and yel, they can barely understand what I'm saying.

On my previous phone (samsung galaxy s3) I had no problem talking on speakers, while walking around the room or driving my car.

Do you guys encounter the same problem? Is there a sollution?

Thanks!

I use mine on speakerphone (conference calls) very frequently and have not run into this. I usually have it sitting on my desk (1-2 feet) or in the armrest holder in the car (2+ feet).
The only time I have had a complaint on mic volume was due to serious background noise (muffled my voice) or a poor tower connection. The tower connection required a redial-in.

Have you tried playing with Noise Suppression or Voice Enhancement in your call settings? I typically have NS on and VE off.

Noise suppression did the trick :D They can hear ma A LOT better now. Thank you!

Where is the noise suppression setting? In my phone settings I see voice enhancement but not noise suppression.

When you are in a conversation press the 3 vertical points, there is the voice enhancement and noise suppression option. I'm on Android lollipop 5.0,so I'm not sure if it's the same on kitkat.

Thanks! I just got my phone a little over a week ago & haven't had a voice call yet - hopefully if there are any issues this setting will be useful. :)
