How long should 2.2 update take ?

Your phone is the target. You may have a slow connection. Let it finish. But if it sits there for hours you have issues.

Ok, my hubby's phone must have issues. It has been stuck on the downloading.....do not turn off target for 6 hours now. Any suggestions on what I can check to get this off?

yeah mine too about 15-20 id say, went rather quicker than i expected actually

Not really. Once the computer has recognized the phone in that mode and installed the drivers (no more than 3 minutes for me) you can "safely remove hardware" yank the USB cord and restart the computer.

At that point it really doesn't matter if you turn off the phone. In fact, you're *supposed* to. And then you're supposed to yank the battery, wait a few moments, then put it back in.

It's really bad design that that big yellow warning doesn't go away.

This bad design is an f-ing waste of time. See my other post. They ought to compensate you for it, but they won't.

My phone has been in the downloading stage for nearly an hour.. I'm not sure if it's just taking forever, or if the previous poster (ConsuDave) is correct about it being done but the downloading thing just won't disappear. I don't really want to screw up my phone by doing something unnecessary.
