How long till Android has google ads?

How long till Google implements ads into Android? What I mean is when where there be ads on the widget pages?

Just look Microsoft has ads on the Xbox 360.

there is google ads on almost all of the free apps i have seen. widgetwise.. i dont think they will ever push for that, as people would just develope them without the ads and if they blocked stuffs like that it would go against everything open-source which is what google is pushing for..
