Help How many apps to make the RM laggy?

I have about 40 apps loaded and running Apex Launcher. When I first turn it on, it lags really bad. It's to a point, where every app I start, takes a good 2-3 seconds before it launches. I'm wondering if there's such thing as 'loading too many apps'. What's the number? I know that's a tough one to answer. The lagginess does suck.

Need to know if I need to erase a few apps or anything I can do.

Never good on any phone (or PC for that matter) to have too many apps running. Best to close any that are not being used.
No need to erase any apps just close them when finished then they are not eating into the 1 GB memory.

The phone is always going to be laggy when you first turn it on until it gets everything settled down and running. Just like a pc. Just give it a minute and don't be so inpatient

I use Nova Prime, with over 150 apps and no lag. If I reboot it for some reason (which I do about once a week or so), it does take a while to "start up" but otherwise, no issues. As mentioned above, don't just hit the home button to leave an app. Either use the back button, or if you have the option in the app, quit the app.

Android is good at managing ram. If it needs ram it will automatically clear an app that's running in the background. You should never get low on ram unless something is wrong
