How many screen protectors did you waste while installing it by yourself ?

I've only ever applied one and that was too my ipod a couple of years back now. My phone has gorilla glass so I have no need for one (keep my phone in pocket with keys + USBs + Lighter everyday and it's still not got a single scratch). I want to put one on my nexus 7 but it's staying at home for now so I feel relatively safe about it.

For the record I wasted one on my ipod, meaning that a total of two were used. The first one I tried too pull the back off and stick it straight on. I didn't know that I was doing it perfectly wrong haha.

Sand does it too apparently. That will even scratch gorilla glass by all accounts.

Exactly, that's what I mean above, dust also contains sand.

Personally I made the perfect one at the third attempts, wasting two of them in the process.

Anyone made a perfect screen protector installation at the first time without doing it before ?

First try. I do have lots of screen protector experience. I've found my garage is rather dust-free.

i have a screen protector on my phone because its always with me and in my pocket and i do see streaks on the screen from the protector now..so it does diminish the look of the screen...so i think i will avoid that on my N7 since its staying at home anyway and i always put it in my flip case after use.
