How many units sold?

ZMAX4EVER

Well-Known Member
I noticed that the MetroPCS website seemed to sell out of the ZMAX PRO within the first few hours of it becoming available. I ended up getting the last one at a store.

How many ZMAX PRO's do you think they moved on the first day? I'm hoping the phone is a huge success and also I hope it brings lots of new customers to MetroPCS.

I'm not sure if any of you read the review by this pompous windbag who referred to the phone being available on MetroPCS as a fatal flaw?

The guy is obviously a moron who knows nothing about MetroPCS. Among the many groundbreaking acheivements by Metro; they were the first carrier in America to offer an LTE network and LTE phone. Also the first carrier to implement VoLTE. They have always been an innovative company, which is why they were the perfect match for T-Mobile and ZTE.

I hope this phone is a huge success for all three companies... because it's an AMAZING BARGAIN and a GREAT phone.

Judging by the amount of buzz generated by the launch of the pro and how quickly it sold out online I'd guess that it is already a hit. It's pretty much the first metro phone under $200 to improve on the original zmax In almost every way without cutting any corners. What I mean is that metro has been selling a lot of devices over the last couple years that only have 1gig of ram or 8gb of storage, or that have a crappy camera, or a cheap little processor that clocks at 1.0 or 1.1ghz even the galaxy j7 fails to beat of zmax in some areas. It has a smaller battery and less ram. I won't count the smaller 5.5" display as a negative because some people don't want a phone that is as big as the zmax or zmax pro is. If the zmax pro did have a fatal flaw it would be the lack of NFC but most people don't even use or care about NFC. Overall, the zmax pro is a huge value for the discounted price of $99 and it's gonna be a while before anybody makes a better device for less.

I just stopped at another Metro store and the guy said they got 5 in and one left. He said he doubts they'll keep up with the demand because the other ZTE sold very well and that store was always out

I'd care a lot more about NFC if Android Pay played well with rooted phones. I've got NFC on my old phone and other than the time I tried to get Android Pay to work before giving up, I've used it exactly zero times.

Here in Chicago even corner stores have nfc terminals so a lot of people use nfc here. Not to mention I use my phone to catch the train and bus.
