How much should I sell my HTC Desire for?

Hi there,

I've had my HTC Desire for a bit over a year now and looking to sell it so I can purchase something else. How much do you think is a fair value? My phone is still HTC Sense, debranded, SIM unlocked, stock 4GB mSD card, no scratches except for the crappy plastic covering the camera. Comes with stock box and all accessories. Back 3rd party protection skin thrown in for free.

Should I upgrade to 2.2 or 2.3 before selling as a better chance of getting higher price?

I'm guessing 300 EUR (410 USD)?

How did you come to that figure? They're going for anything between 120 and 200 EUR on eBay.

I saw ads in my local newspaper for HTC Desires at that price so I figured I should advertise at that price too. I guess not.

I know round my way on Gumtree.com original Desires go for around

just look at the used prices on amazon and you can clearly see your 300 euro
is way out there, you can get a new one for that amount

but saying that a phone is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it on the
day.. if you find some chump willing to pay 300 euro then bite rip his arm off in
the process

Cool, thanks for the input guys. I'll update to 2.2 and start at 225 - 250 EUR then and negotiate my way down from there.
