How note 4 uses its extra screen room

How does Note 4 uses its extra screen room for applications like gmail? It simply scales up or does it show more information?

For example, in my S3, in my inbox, i can see 6.5 messages at the same time. In note 4 is the same thing (with bigger fonts) or i can configure it to show more messages?

Google maps shows a larger area in note 4?

I can see 6.5 as well. Probably larger font however. You may be able to shrink the font. Sorry I don't regularly use Gmail.

Google maps can certainly use the larger, higher resolution screen to show you more information. Web browsers will do the same as well. Don't know about the Gmail app, as I don't use that.
