how set up Smart Vibrator, and how set it as default?

even if I have to switch apps, what I need is phone to vibrate on call and text. I setup in Smart Vibrator the pattern I want for each, but it's not doing correctly when getting call or text.

If all you want is for your phone to vibrate on calls and texts you don't need an app for that. The phone should handle it.

To vibrate on calls:
Settings > sound and display > Phone vibrate

To vibrate on texts:
Open messaging program > menu key (make sure you are viewing all threads not just one) > settings > Vibrate (under notification settings)

If you are using handcent or chompsms for texting you should be able to set them to vibrate as well.

I like Smart Vibrator since it lets me set my own different vibrate patterns for text and call. but the pattern isn't correct when i get a text or call, so i think somewhere on the normal phone vibrate settings something is incorrect.

I love this app but I have an odd issue. Wondering if anyone has experienced this?

I'm using Smart Vibrator 2.0.1 on Motorola Droid.

The app works GREAT except it only uses my custom vibration pattern for incoming calls once.

After the first call (which uses my pattern) all subsequent calls are silent (no vibrate or ring tone).

If I unlock the phone, open "Smart Vibrator" app, and just close it (without making any changes) then lock the phone, it will use my custom vibrate for the next incoming call.

So I have to keep opening the app each time after a call to make the next call use my pattern.

I've got silent mode off, ringer volume all the way down, and default vibration turned off for both calls and texts in Android OS.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I love the app and wish it would work every time!
