Mods How to access my MicroSD with app [Stock only]

I have a Netgear ReadyNAS Remote app on my Galaxy S3 and it will allow me to download files from my NAS over the 'NET.

However, I cannot, apparently download files directly to my S3's External MicroSd card.

Here is the list of the folders I can see in the app:

How can I access my MicroSD from these folders?
Do I need to create a shortcut to the MicroSD?

DCIM says it's a storage medium set up by Android. It's either your external SD card, your ""internal SD card" (dumbest name of the year award, there) or the NAS that Android set up.

Use a file manager. If you can't find extSdCard (or something similar) look for mnt and you should find the external SD card mounted there (IOW inside the mnt folder). (Start looking in the "root folder" [in Windows terminology], IOW /extSdCard or /mnt.)

Your NAS app may not allow you to access anything but the NAS itself. ES File Explorer to access my NAS (through its LAN link), so I can then switch to local and access the SD card or anything else on the phone.

I think you are right: the app on my S3 will not allow me to access anything but the SDCard and not /extSdCard.

It is not possible to use a link to the /extSdCard?

In the past I would download the .mp3 file and save it to a folder eg. download,. and then use ESFileExplorer to move it from the sdcard to the Music folder on the /extSdCard. Its a pain.
