how to access the phone with broken screen with pc

Hey guys,

My HTC Incredible has a broken screen (physically intact but it doesn't turn on, and the phone is functional), so I'm getting a replacement soon. I managed to backup the files that I can see as "mass media storage" from the phone, the contacts are synced with google account, but couldn't back up the SMS.

Is there a way to access the android phone with PC? I'm trying screencast 0.4 but it looks like it requires "rooted" phone, which my phone is not.

Tried bitpim but apparently bitpim doesn't work with incredible either.

Could someone give me a tip please.

Here is a suggestion, but it wont be easy though.. I think incredible supports TV out through Micro USB. You could give it a try if the problem is only with the display part and your touch screen still works. But you'll need help from someone with a working HTC incredible to guide you where to touch to get to the options to enable the TV out (since you cant see anything on your screen).

Thanks for the suggestions. i'll definitely try that. I'll be having my replacement incredible coming soon, so once I get hold of it, I'll know exactly how to turn the TV out on.

well i managed to somehow make the screencast work scrambling around touching on the broken screen.

All back to normal now.
