How to actually delete phone numbers

I wonder if someone can explain two things to me that are driving me mad. Firstly, how on earth do I actually delete contact numbers from google. I have diligently deleted all duplicate and unwanted phone numbers (about five times now!) so that my call list is showing all numbers in Google while phone contracts and SIM is zero. So far so good, but the phonebook list in my car (picked up by bluetooth) is still showing every number I seem to have ever had, and up to 5 duplicates. It may just be my lack of understanding, and I apologise in advance to Google if it is, but surely deleting a number should do just that. This is really annoying.

The second thing is I am confused over the memory allocation in by OneX. Previous HTC phones I have had have had phone memory and SD memory, now it seems to be phone storage and internal storage, so I am guessing the internal storage is the same as having the SD storage?

Sorry if I am being a bit slow!
 
First off, have you checked online to make sure that there is only one copy of your contacts in google's servers itself? (contacts.google.com) If there aren't, then maybe your car is storing a cache of phone numbers and has not updated itself? These are just suggestions, because I don't know much about the bluetooth syncing of contacts, but I would definitely check your google contacts online

Whichever is bigger is what is considered your SD card. So on my HOX (it's the ATT branded one) internal storage is phone memory, and phone storage is the virtual SD card.
 
thank you Guitar20, i did not even know I could access my phone numbers on Google. When I logged on, there they were. I have now deleted the duplicates. Thanks again.
