Hi all, I just wanted to share something that was shared with me. It'll help add a personal touch to your phone if you would like. This TUT will tell you how to add a power-on and power-off sound. There is also a sound file that will go with the Transformer theme if you wish to use it. If not, just add any mp3 file you wish by following the instructions. .
OK people, this is something that's very easy to do. Just follow the instructions and
you'll end up with your favorite mp3 tune as your power-on or power-off sound.
1st.
Go to /system/media/audio on your phone and create a folder there called system.
2nd.
Rename the mp3 you want to use to PowerOn.mp3 and place it in /system/media/audio/system.
When you transfer the mp3 file to your phone, it will automatically add mp3 to the name of the file so keep that in mind.
***All you need to do is name the file ( PowerOn.) without the ( ). Once it's tranferred to your sd card, it should look like this- PowerOn.mp3
If it doesn't then you'll need to manually change it.****
you can also have a mp3 named PowerOff.mp3 for a shutdown sound.
If you want to use the Transformer sound file I have included in this zip, just move it to the folder thatyou created. You can use any mp3 as long as it isn't very long.
Remember, the file should say- PowerOn.mp3 not PowerOn.mp3.mp3.
Download zip file here which includes Transformer sound.:
