how to add startup sound

my x10 is rooted. is there a way to make it play a sound file during startup? if so, where do i put the sound file ?

I don't think you can do this; you can change the boot animation but it's an image file (or a series of images) so there is no sound.

I think it's hardware related. Do you mean a sound when you turn it on (like a macintosh computer) or when it's ready to use (like Windows or Ubuntu?)

exactly, i have had other sony ericsson phones before and they all have startup sound along with the animation.

Go into system/sounds/ and create a folder called poweron and in that folder place your sound file that you want for startup and name it PowerOn.mp3
