this may have been asked before, i dont know but i got the apn on and off app, if its off does that mean there is no chance for me to use 3g internet becuse i dont want to use up my 100 free meg and my 10 quid credit.

I usually use internet via wifi, so how do i make selectively choose 3g and wifi?

thanks.

If I understand you correctly, to switch off any of the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/3G Data/Syncing/Screen Brightness:

Install the Power Control widget on one of your home screens. To do that, on your home screen, hit the plus button, select Widget, and scroll to Power Control.

Keep as many of these off as possible, especially the syncing.

This is what it looks like, and you can select from a Home Screen which is on and which is off:

Yes i have that application, but which one is 3g? And my one only has 5. It doesnt have that weird paper thing (foruth one in) :/

thank you

The weird paper thing is the 3G toggle.

The pic is a custom rom/3rd Party Widget, the standard android widget doesn't have the 3G bit.

ye know what, i don't remember ever d/l any 3rd party widget for the 3g toggle?? it was just there......

must've been included of the SS ROM I used.....sorry (ur excellency :p)

just to say, I am extremely reluctant to move on to the next level, as this Swedish Spring is just so good.

I could always move back I spose????

Am I missin someting big

Loyal Minion, my other half is pretty happy with JJ; when a stable 2.3 is available, I'll probably fire that on.

Anyways, back on topic. Yeah, the stock 2.1 you get with the handset doesn't have the 3G function. I think that's default with any Vanilla Android experience as my mate has the Nexus S and he doesn't have the 3G toggle either. My DHD has it's own Sense variant with Mobile, 3G, Auto Sync, Roaming and a shortcut to the Wireless & Network Settings. I'm not sure what I prefer TBH.
