Help How to avoid "white eyes" on pic?

Most of my pictures with flash show "white eyes" on people, they look like ghosts.

Is there anyway to avoid that or fix the pic afterwards?

I just downloaded PHotoshop Express, it's free, might be a simple way to do it in there, haven't really delved into it yet. The simple answer may be to change the angle at which you're shooting, since it's basically a reflection of the ultra bright flash off the front of the eyeball.

I have the photoshop but the free version has nothing about red (or white) eye reduction, perhaps the paid version?
